What to expect on Sundays at GRADF

Sunday afternoons at GRADF are a fun time.  The services are aimed toward the glory and pleasure of God while intending to equip believers with a better understanding, appreciation and motivation towards the supremacy of God.

We meets at Faith Bible Church, 5601 Oak Hill Rd., Faith Bible Church and GRADF are not affiliated in any kind or in any form, but both of us share the same position in theological, doctrine, and practice, and we heartily grateful for Faith Bible Church to allow us to use one of their room for our ministry. Thanks to the pastor and elders for their support.

As a church we are relatively young with a median age in the thirties and some are older and wiser.  The dress on Sunday morning tends towards business casual, however, on any given Sunday you will see folks wearing anything from shorts to suits.  The average attendance between the average of 19.

One of the great features of GRADF throughout the years has been the welcoming of visitors.  With the church growing it is encouraging to see this trend continuing.  Following a welcome and introduction we take a few minutes to meet and greet one another.  This is a great time to get to know new people.  If you are coming for the first time, take advantage of this time to introduce yourself. We generally have fellowship and preparation for our worship service.

Our song praise is very different from any of most churches. The hearing church often relying on sound and the music echo throughout the worship service. Yes, Music is an exciting aspect of worship.  Our style is very different and we are relying on visualize and the song is being sung in American Sign Language (ASL) from the Hymn, or in Psalm. It is our aim to select songs that is God honoring.

Preaching

Preaching is central focus of our worship time.  It is in this time that we receive instruction from God through His written Word.  The pulpit ministry of GRADF is an expositional ministry; meaning that the preacher is committed to drawing out from the text what the author’s intended meaning is and making it simple, clear and practical in its application.  Sermons typically last 30-45 minutes and are the highlight of our time together.

Fellowship

Following the sermon we sing a closing song with doxology and a leader from the church closes us in prayer.  It is typical for folks to congregate together for extended periods talking about the life, ministry, theology and everything in between. The following the service, we have a group discussion/Bible Study and this aim to edify each other spiritually and encourage others to strength with their walking with the Lord. After the church, we generally dine out to a restaurant to relax and chat. This is an opportunity to get to know each others and share the joyful in God's free grace!
